Public Works
The Public Works Department is responsible for the planning, operations, and maintenance of the Town’s streets, sewers, storm drainage, waste water management, buildings, and equipment. The Department employs five full-time staff and two summer staff.
The Department’s work functions include:
- Streets
- Sidewalks
- Sewage Collection
- Sewage treatment
- Street Cleaning
- Ditches/Culverts
- Street Signs
- Street Painting
- Snow and Ice Removal on Streets and Parking lots
- Waste Management/Own Waste Cans in Town of Berwick
- Mowing and Yard Waste
- Trees
- Town Building
- Water Tests
