Amendments to the Berwick Municipal Planning Strategy And Land Use By-law

The public is advised that the Berwick Town Council at a meeting held on October 14 , 2003 approved amendments to the Berwick Municipal Planning Strategy and Land Use By-law relating to the control of multi-unit residential and group dwelling development within the Town.

The amendments will generally have the affect of: limiting multi-unit residential development in the Residential Multi-Unit R-3 Zone to a maximum of three (3) dwelling units; require development of multi-unit residential development of four (4) units or more by Development Agreement; and require development of group dwellings within the R-3 Zone by Development Agreement. If approved, the proposed amendments will apply to all lands designated for residential development on the Strategy's Generalized Future Land Use map, including all lands currently zoned Residential Multi-Unit.
